Devon and Exmoor, Minehead

Monday We travel to Devon with a lunch time stop in Wells, which has an historic centre, magnificent cathedral, and a unique, moated Bishop’s Palace.

Tuesday Over Exmoor, via Wheddon Cross and Simonsbath, to the historic harbour town of Bideford which is packed with independent shops, local produce, and a picturesque quay or there will be the option of being dropped at the Affinity Shopping Centre nearby if you would prefer. We return with a quick stop in Woolacombe with its famous beach.

Wednesday Along the Coast and we make a stop in Ilfracombe, a picturesque costal town on the North Devon Coast which was traditionally a fishing village but grew in the Victorian period as pleasure seekers arrived. Then on to Lynmouth, where there is the opportunity to take the cliff railway (not included) to Lynton. We return with a drive through the Valley of Rocks with its majestic skyline.

Thursday Another drive over Exmoor as we visit the famous city of Exeter, a small city that packs a big punch. Great shopping and history dating back to Roman times.

Friday A choice on our return between Glastonbury or Street Outlet Shopping Village.
