At this festive time of year Germany hosts some of the most beautiful Christmas markets, all on the famous River Rhine, with lights, candles, and the smell of gingerbread and mulled wine. We stay in Boppard which has a prime location on the river and has a Christmas Market. We visit the famous city of Koblenz, famous as the meeting place of the Moselle and Rhine rivers, that has one of the most popular markets set up across seven squares. Finally, we visit Rüdesheim that hosts the Christmas Market of Nations, presenting products, specialities and customs from many different countries.

Thursday To France by ferry and on through Belgium to our hotel in Boppard. We are met at the hotel with a welcome drink.
Friday We make the short journey along the Rhine to Koblenz where we have all day to enjoy the markets and everything else this town has to offer. The market features over 130 stalls and the
ton itself is renowned as a city full of experiences. (Make sure to visit Deutsches Eck where there is a stunning statue at the point where the Moselle and Rhine rivers meet!)
Saturday We stay in Boppard and enjoy all it has to offer from our central hotel. The market is held in the historic market square framed by beautiful old half-timbered houses, under the eyes of the famous St Severus church. You can also enjoy a walk along the Rhine Promenade.
Sunday We travel along the Rhine in the other direction to visit Rudesheim. It is a charming town where picturesque vineyards and the romantic river landscapes meet. The Christmas Market of Nations includes stalls from over 20 countries and three continents.
Monday We return home making suitable stops.
