Monday To our overnight hotel in Germany. (minimum 3-star hotel)

Tuesday We board our ship at 15:00 and depart at 16:00.

Wednesday We arrive into Melk at 08:00. Melk is known as the gateway to the Wachau and we visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Melk Abbey for a 3-hour tour. It is enthroned high above the river and has been run by Benedictine order since 1089. We depart Melk at 1400 and arrive into Vienna at 20:30.

Thursday All day in Vienna which is one of the most culturally rich cities in Europe. There is magnificent architecture and must sees include Hofburg Palace, Schloss Schonbrunn and City Hall. We depart at 18:00.

Friday We arrive into Linz at 14:00 and the city’s ‘cultural mile’ is well worth a visit, there is also the largest cathedral in Austria that holds 20,000 worshippers. We depart at 22:00.

Saturday We arrive into Passau and disembark after breakfast. Before we leave for home there is a city tour of Passau which sits at the confluence of the river Inn, Liz, and Danube. It is a Bavarian town and boasts superb examples of Gothic and Baroque architecture. Then on to our overnight hotel.

Sunday We return home.
Boat The VIVA TWO is a 5 Star ship being launched March 2023 will make cruising even more attractive. It has 95 cabins holding 190 passengers and will be the new flagship for VIVA with 52 staff on board. All cabins have digital TV, minibus, Nespresso machine and beauty products from Rituals. The ship has 2 restaurants and a Bistro. There is a fitness centre with Steam Bath, Sauna, treadmill, bike and weights plus Whirlpool and Putting Green on Sundeck. Ruby and Diamond Cabins are accessible by lift with just 6 steps to Emerald Deck and Sundeck. 

•    Emerald Deck cabins come with a window.
•    Ruby Deck cabins are 15m2 and have a French Balcony.
•    Diamond Deck cabin are 15m2 and also have a French Balcony.
