Discover the charm of the Ribble Valley, where stunning scenery, rich heritage, and local flavours come together. We begin with a visit to Hoghton Tower, perched at 650 feet and offering panoramic views across Lancashire. Then, enjoy a nostalgic ride on Keighly & Worth Railway and Vintage Carriage Museum. A highlight of the tour is a captivating coach journey through the enchanting Ribble Valley, led by an award-winning local storyteller, whose tales bring the region’s history and folklore to life. We also visit Dewlay Cheesemakers, renowned for producing some of the finest Lancashire cheese—complete with a behind-thescenes tour and, of course, a tasting! This itinerary, introduced with a new hotel in 2025, received exceptional praise from guests.

Monday We head north to our hotel, with a relaxing lunchtime stop at the Trentham Shopping Centre, offering a mix of independent shops, cafés, and garden walks.
Tours at Resort
A | We begin with a private tour of Hoghton Tower, perched 650 feet above sea level, offering panoramic views stretching from the Lake District to North Wales. The tour brings the tower’s rich history to life, with stories of past visitors including Queen Mary and Shakespeare. Later, we visit Dewlay Cheesemakers, a third-generation family business renowned for its award-winning
Lancashire cheese. During a guided tour, we witness traditional cheese-making techniques in action—curdling, cutting, and packing—followed by a tutored tasting session.
B | Join a local guide for a scenic journey through the Ribble Valley, known for its rolling hills, charming villages, and timeless countryside. This captivating tour reveals why the region is considered one of the happiest places in the UK.
C | We visit the Keighly & Worth Railway and Vintage Carriage Museum. There will also be time for a lunch time stop in the town of Haworth, in the heart of Bronte Country it’s a place where history, landscape and atmosphere blend to make it a memorable stop.
Friday We begin our journey home with a stop at Liverpool’s Waterfront, overlooked by the famous Liver Birds, offering time to explore or simply enjoy the views.
