Ilfracombe has a picturesque harbour along with narrow streets and the North Devon coast is renowned for its unique character and spectacular scenery. This superb hotel is now a firm favourite all year round and we offer you the chance to stay there for both Christmas and New Year making an 11-day holiday!
Please note: For our 11-day combined holiday, our coach and driver will depart on Day 5 and then return on Day 7. The hotel of course, will look after you whilst we are ‘gone’ and the hotel is in a great location for you to explore Ilfracombe. You will have FREE DAYS to explore the area at your own leisure on: Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
Christmas Eve We travel to Devon and travel along the picturesque North Coast with just a short stop in Minehead, so we are at the hotel in plenty of time to get settled before Christmas begins!
Christmas Day All day in our hotel to enjoy the festivities. We are centrally located, so you can enjoy a short walk to the harbour or beech in-between enjoying all that the hotel has to offer.
Boxing Day To Barnstaple on the River Taw, with its famous ‘Butchers Row’. Then a short stop in Appledore, a small but thriving fishing and trading village since the 14th century.
Saturday Over Exmoor and via Simonsbath and Wheddon Cross to Dunster, perhaps its most picturesque village where we make a short stop. We then continue to a lunchtime stop in Lynmouth. Here there is the opportunity to take the cliff railway (not included) to Lynton.
Sunday, Monday & Tuesday - For customers opting for our 11-day combined holiday, our coach and driver will depart on Day 5 and then return on Day 7. New Year’s Eve We visit the historic harbour town of Bideford which is packed with independent shops, local produce, and a picturesque quay. We then make a stop in Woolacombe where magnificent scenery meets the swell of the Atlantic waves on its famous beach. It is also a lively place with lots of shops and cafes etc. if you would prefer you can be returned to Ilfracombe for free time there.
New Year’s Day A relaxing FREE DAY in Ilfracombe.
