Here, you’ll explore the top-secret world of wartime codebreaking that helped shorten the war and saved countless lives. Later, we continue to our hotel.
Monday Today, we journey through Suffolk and Norfolk. We begin in Bury St Edmunds, the jewel in Suffolk’s crown, known for its excellent shopping, vibrant food scene, and historic Abbey Gardens with the ruins of a Benedictine monastery. Next, we head to Ely, England’s second smallest city, where you can explore its compact streets and admire the magnificent cathedral—famously nicknamed the “Ship of the Fens.”
Tuesday We visit Cambridge for a 90-minute guided coach tour of this world-renowned university city. Afterwards, enjoy free time to wander among its stunning architecture, majestic college buildings, and charming passageways.
Wednesday On our return journey, we pause in St Albans, a city steeped in history with Roman roots, beautiful medieval streets, and a wealth of character. Take time to explore, relax, and soak up its magical atmosphere before we head home.
