Wednesday We begin our adventure heading north, with a stop at the romantic Gretna Green, before continuing to our overnight stay at the elegant 4-star Dryfesdale Country House Hotel, set in beautiful countryside near Lockerbie.
Thursday We travel past Glasgow and stop at Loch Lomond Shores, where you can enjoy shops, cafés, and lochside walks. From here, the scenery becomes truly spectacular as we journey through the Highlands, with views of Ben Nevis and along the shores of Loch Ness, arriving in Beauly for a four night stay.
Friday Today we board one of the world’s most scenic rail journeys—from Dingwall to Kyle of Lochalsh. This two-hour ride winds through dramatic Highland landscapes, mirrored lochs, and forested glens, with stunning views of the Isle of Skye. Our coach meets us in Kyle for a scenic return via Lochs Duich and Cluanie.
Saturday We set sail on a 2-hour Spirit Cruise on the Moray Firth, hoping to spot Bottlenose dolphins, otters, seals, and other wildlife. (PLEASE NOTE: Seeing dolphins is not a guarantee on the cruise if they are shy and do not want to say hello, but with the new catamaran we get to travel all the way to chanory point which increases our chances!) Later, we visit the fairytalelike Dunrobin Castle, with its elegant turrets, rich history, and beautiful gardens overlooking the sea.
Sunday Enjoy a relaxing day in Beauly, or take a short train ride (not included) to Inverness, the Capital of the Highlands. Explore its riverside setting, historic old town, and local shops at your own pace.
Monday We begin our journey south through the Cairngorms National Park, with a lunchtime stop in Pitlochry, known for its fresh air, scenic beauty, and clan heritage. We return to the Dryfesdale Hotel for our final overnight stay.
Tuesday Before heading home, we visit the beautiful Lake District, with free time in Bowness-on-Windermere and a scenic drive along the lake’s edge— a perfect end to a memorable holiday!
