Broadcast to over 100 million viewers worldwide, nothing compares to the thrill of being there in person—surrounded by the stirring sound of massed pipes and drums, dazzling performances, and the dramatic backdrop of Edinburgh Castle. On the day of the Tattoo, you’ll have ample time to explore Edinburgh at your leisure - wander the historic Royal Mile, visit the castle, or simply soak up the festival atmosphere. On our other day in Scotland, we visit the historic city of Stirling, where Scotland’s past comes vividly to life. From the towering Stirling Castle to the iconic Wallace Monument, it’s a day rich in heritage and Highland charm.

Friday We journey north into Scotland and arrive at our comfortable hotel near Biggar, in the rolling hills of the Southern Uplands.

Saturday Enjoy a full day in Edinburgh, Scotland’s vibrant capital, rich in history, architecture, and culture. Perhaps explore the Royal Mile, visit Edinburgh Castle, or opt to tour the Royal Yacht Britannia (entries not included). In the evening, we experience the unforgettable Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo at 18:15—a world-renowned spectacle of music, precision, and pageantry set against the dramatic backdrop of Edinburgh Castle. PLEASE NOTE: Access to the Tattoo involves an 80-metre walk on a steep incline, followed by approximately 12 steps to reach the first row of seating. Also, dinner is not included tonight.

Sunday After a relaxed start, we travel to Stirling, one of Scotland’s most historic cities. Explore its charming streets, take in the views, and perhaps visit the magnificent Stirling Castle (entry not included), a key site in Scotland’s royal and military history.

Monday Following breakfast, we begin our journey home with a stop at the romantic and historic Gretna Green.
